Project 040: Heritage and Landmarks!

The Heritage and Landmark section is one that we’ve been slowly expanding over time. In this project we have some new shapes to show off, along with some existing favourites perfect to create all kinds of souvenirs and keepsakes relevant to your area…

Tourist Souvenirs and Keepsakes…

We have a whole range of existing products that are ideal for souvenirs and keepsakes!

London, for example, attracts a lot of tourists every year and there are plenty of London landmarks to cover. Even something as simple as one of our standard Circles can be printed up with the London Eye to create a coaster or a keyring!

London is also known for its distinct Taxis, which is great because our Car (Front View) Shape has finally been updated with some brand new sizes! Previously in XL A6, it is now available in 7 sizes from Giant A4 down to Xtra Tiny. We also offer a Regal Crown Shape, Lego Brick and Mini Figure Shapes for trips to Legoland plus a Bus Shape – perfect to print up as the iconic red London bus!

The Angel of the North is a well known landmark which was actually requested by one of our Customers! If you have any ideas for landmarks, area shapes or souvenir ideas that you’d be interested in seeing made into shapes – then feel free to let us know!

Products To Consider…

Keyrings and Fridge Magnets are probably the most classic choices for souvenirs. They both make brilliant keepsakes from a holiday and can be very easily designed for any place or landmark – even if you’re using our standard shapes! We also have a nice range of split rings and connectors to choose from…

Coasters are another great choice to consider as these are super practical – everyone needs a trusty coaster! We offer cork bumps and poly bumps so you can select whichever you prefer.

Bookmarks are another lovely but practical choice. They provide a great way to remember a holiday as every avid reader can never have too many bookmarks! We have a selection of different sizes to choose from, along with a wide array of tassel colours.

Jewellery is another area to consider for gifts and keepsakes in this theme – most of our heritage shapes are available in small and tiny sizes making them perfect for brooches, badges, pendants, key rings, earrings or charms to add to bracelets or handbags – for your customers to show off their love and pride of their home area, favourite place, or dream trip!

Around The UK…

We now have a stylised version of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland – joining Scotland to complete the UK! They are all available in 6 sizes from Giant A4 down to Small to allow you to create all kinds of brilliant products – from wall art maps, clocks and dry wipe signs to fridge magnets.

And don’t forget about our Yorkshire and Isle of Wight Shapes either! All of these shapes are a great way of showing off local pride or as a nice reminder of a well loved trip. We may also have a future plan to introduce a full British Isles Shape, which would also be perfect for wall art maps. Consider seasonal selling too – with National country and county days throughout the year giving great opportunities for marketing!

We are looking into producing Magnetic versions of our stylised area shapes in order to offer magnet sets for keeping track of places visited or a wishlist of places to go…

National Animals and Flowers

We now have some of the UK’s national animals and flowers available in our range – brilliant for keepsakes!

For Scotland (St Andrew’s Day is November 30th) there is the Thistle and the Unicorn Shapes. Additionally, our Highland Cow and Terrier are perfect for Scottish themed products. For Wales we have just launched the Dragon – rather fittingly too as St. David’s Day is the 1st March! – and we have plans to add a Daffodil shape soon.

For Northern Ireland and Ireland (St Patrick’s Day is March 17th), while they don’t have an official national animal, the Hare is generally considered the unofficial national animal and our Rabbit (Side View) Shape will work well for this. We also have the Shamrock and Top Hat Shapes which would be fun for some ‘Good Luck’ and St. Patrick’s Day products!

For England (St George’s Day is April 23rd), we are still working on an English Rose and Heraldic Lion Shape, so be sure to keep an eye out for them!

Marvellous Maps!

The A4 and A5 sizes would be the best choice to print up a map (as they have the most print room!), and they can be easily personalised to each customer by including a range of places and landmarks that they want to visit or have already visited. You can even go one step further and make it an interactive map by including a dry wipe pen with which they can check off places as they visit!

For a Family or a Couple who love to travel, any of our place shapes would be perfect to print up a map along with personalised details and anecdotes from their journeys – making a lovely gift and keepsake!
